A strong brand is more than just a pretty face. But that doesn’t mean a pretty face isn’t necessary. In order to talk about interior branding we need to understand brand design and how to create one. When discussing brand design, we refer to key elements such as logos, color schemes, typography, and other design components that will make any brand stand out from its competitors and be recognizable to consumers.
When we started creating brand design projects in 2019 we realized the importance of connecting the visual experience with the brand's space, wether it is a hotel, a restaurant, an office, or a shop, interior branding is required to generate a cohesive experience for everyone.
WHAT IS INTERIOR BRAND DESIGN
Interior branding is the process of creating a unique and powerful identity for a business or organization by designing the interior space in such a way that it reflects the brand values and communicates their message to visitors and workers. It involves the use of colors, textures, lighting, furniture, artwork, smells and other elements to create an environment that reflects the company’s identity.
By creating an inviting atmosphere that speaks to customers on an emotional level, interior branding can help businesses stand out from competitors and create an unforgettable experience for their customers. Each brand provides a different experience that evokes emotions and feelings in its customers, this is why any business must care about branding all the way through their interior architecture.
Creating cohesive and memorable experiences for people who enter a space is what interior branding is all about communicating a company's values, culture, and identity through design elements within a physical space. In other words, interior brand design is a tool to reinforce how people feel about a brand when they step through the door.
TRANSFORM A VISUAL DESIGN INTO A IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
Visual design elements are an important part of creating a successful experience. It can help to create a strong connection between the user and the product or space, as well as make it easier for them to navigate through it. However, transforming a visual design into an immersive experience requires more than putting a logo on every wall and matching the furniture with brand colors, it’s about creating a space that speaks for itself. The interior should be an extension of your brand; so that people could walk in blindfolded and still be sure where they are.
We use these steps in our Interior branding design process to assure the creation of a cohesive brand design:
Define a Concept It is a key step when designing everything, it will set a solid foundation that will help to make decisions later.
Set Goals Defining whom are you designing and how you want them to feel is going to set “the ground rules”.
Use Words Start by analyzing your brand and making a list of adjectives or words that best describes the product or service.
Assign those Words Once you have a list of words you will have to match how those words look, feel, smell, or sound into design elements like colors, textures, aromas, or music.
Reassurance After transferring words into design elements that appeal to your senses it is really important to confirm that the group of these elements is congruent with your concept and goals.
These steps for transforming ethereal concepts into immersive experiences require talented experts that fully understand the brand and its identity in order of creating the interior branding design.
