We created a green terrace in Mexico City the plants and vegetation serve as a space of nature in the middle of an urban environment. The green terraces in buildings provide many benefits for those they live in them. Extensive planting within the cities is recognized to improve air quality, the plants reduce carbon dioxide and eliminate heavy metals.

We wanted the terrace to be filled with vitality and create an atmosphere to relax and enjoy the space in company of friends and family, the drawback was that the apartment is surrounded by tall buildings so there is not much privacy, why we proposed to design a green curtain suspended on the beams of the building with a self-irrigation system. Hanging plants create a much more intimate space and also serve as a thermal insulator, generating a microclimate that favors the feeling of being inside a small jungle.

As part of the design we also added a hammock, outdoor furniture and a grill, for this we added a small kitchen garden to have some herbs and fresh chilies.

The traveler's palm and the bird's-nest fern were found both on the terrace and inside the apartment to unify both spaces.
