For this house, we chose a contemporary style with a neutral and warm palette that will help create a calm, warm, and clean atmosphere, ideal for a young family. This project focuses on family life and the arrival of the new member Emilia, so the whole design is centered on the baby.

For this project, the client asked us to try to keep as much possible of the furniture they already had so we suggest updating some of the pieces with paint and decor.

 

Typical contemporary furniture shows exposed legs and clean lines to give a light and airy feel. It’s common to see materials like metal and glass used because of their light-reflecting properties. This look is the ultimate mix of house décor styles. In addition, neutral color palettes are the most common for contemporary design with textured fabrics to create interest.

The living room is one of the few spaces designed exclusively for adults, so we focused on creating a relaxing and sophisticated atmosphere that would allow them to receive visitors and enjoy time as a couple.
